Can I request scans of documents from Special Collections and Archives for my research?
Answer
We offer "Scan on Demand" for archival researchers. Instead of visiting the archives in person, researchers can submit requests for documents remotely. Archives staff will scan requested materials, send them electronically to researchers, and add them to the online database.
Here's how to request Scan on Demand:
- Search our online archives database
- Select an archival folder from the search results
- Hit the "Aeon Request" button in the upper right corner
- (The first time you use this service, you will need to set up a free account)
- Select "Request photoduplication" and fill out the rest of the form
- Click "Submit Request" to complete your order
